Stars as Cosmic Factories: Reading “The Stars Are Subjected to His Command”

One of the cosmic verses that reminds us that we do not live on earth in vain, this precious verse that tells us that the stars are cosmic factories that work to provide us with the necessary materials for life, "and the stars are ridiculed at his command" (Bees: 12) The verse has wide and deep scientific meanings, and shows amazing contemporary scientific implications. When God Almighty says that the stars are ridiculed at his command, it means not only that they run in their orbits according to a precise cosmic system. We know today that stars, especially massive stars, are the factories of heavy elements in the universe. Inside, nuclear reactions combine hydrogen and helium to form heavier elements such as carbon, oxygen, iron, and silicon. When these stars explode (in the so-called supernova), these elements spread into space. These substances enter the formation of planets, including the Earth, and form the Earth's crust and minerals, and even the elements that make up the human body. In other words, every atom of iron in our blood, every atom of calcium in our bones, every atom of oxygen that we breathe – originates from ancient stars that exploded billions of years ago. "Verily, your Lord is He Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then ascended to the throne, covering the night and the day; and the sun and the moon and the stars are mocked at His command: for to Him belongs all creation. — Source: Posted on Dr. Mohammed Bourbab's Facebook page on 2025-10-26 https://www.facebook.com/bourbab.m/posts/pfbid02GcJqCNdJYSiWZy4NU5Ci4BCH8kArC98JP71hpXE6gJmKpqdERfgxNgrphqeC8Nknl
