The Sclerotome stage is the part of the sclerotome that migrates around the spinal cord and neural tube to form the vertebrae and hard parts of the axial skeleton. This stage precedes the formation of the muscles (myotome) and the skin (dermatome), which corresponds to the text in the image, which indicates that the bone stage precedes the stage of "meat covering". Myotome stage later evolves to form the skeletal muscles that cover the bones. These muscles arise from cells that migrate from the sumite and surround the skeleton. This stage shows the chronology mentioned in the text: Bones are first formed, then covered with muscle (meat).
