The creation of man was not an event separate from the universe, but began its introduction from the first moment of the Big Bang about 13.8 billion years ago.
Hydrogen (H): formed immediately after the Big Bang, during the first minutes ( ? 13.8 billion years). It forms an essential part of the water in the human body.
Helium: also in the first minutes after the Big Bang ( ?13.8 billion years).
After that, heavy elements did not yet exist, but the universe needed stars to form.
Carbon (C): is formed inside the first stars by nuclear fusion after about 13-12 billion years. It is the basis of all organic compounds in the human body.
Oxygen (O): formed in massive stars and then spread after exploding (supernova) (? 12 - 10 billion years). It is the main element in water and breathing.
Nitrogen (N): formed in middle and massive stars ( ?12-10 billion years), is a key component of proteins and DNA.
Iron (Fe): It is in the core of giant stars and then ejected into space when they explode (10-8 billion years). It is a vital component in the blood (hemoglobin).
Calcium (Ca): formed in explosions of stars (supernovae) (10-8 billion years), which is the basis of bones and teeth.
Phosphorus (P): Originated in stars and their eruptions (10-8 billion years), it is an essential component of cellular energy (ATP) and DNA.
These elements spread into space through explosions of stars, and later coalesced into cosmic clouds that made up the solar system.
Earth was formed about 4.6 billion years ago, carrying these elements in its rocks, water and atmosphere.
The earth became a repository of the elements from which man would later be created, and God prepared it to be fit for life.
When God created Adam, He took from the dust of the earth any of these same elements that originated in the stars billions of years ago.
The human body is composed of elements about the same age as the universe, which began its journey since the creation of the universe.
Then God breathed into him the spirit, and man became a dignified creature, combining the ancient cosmic substance with the divine breath.
After the creation of man, God made all the plants, water, air, minerals, energy, and animals in the earth.
* He also harnessed universal laws that preserve balance, such as the climate, the water cycle, soil fertility, and the ecosystem.
Man, then, is the culmination of a long cosmic journey in which the elements of heaven and earth were brought together by the command of God.
This fact reveals a harmony between science and faith:
Science explains when and how the elements were formed, and faith explains why man was created and what his purpose is.
Man is not a transitory being, but an intentional and dignified creature to whom the universe prepared itself before its appearance.
Thus, the existence of man carries a message: worship, renunciation, reconstruction of the earth, and thankfulness to the Almighty.
