God’s Name Al-Qayyum, the Self-Subsisting Sustainer, and the Fine-Tuning of the Universe: Scientific Meanings and Cosmic Miracles
First: Sharia texts
1. Quranic verses
Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal.
He said: “There is no god but Allah, the Living One.”
He said: “The faces of the people were turned upside down.
He said, “Allah holds the heavens and the earth, and if they were to be destroyed, they would be destroyed.”
2. Prophetic Hadiths
God’s promise to Moses:
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allah is not able to sleep, nor should He be able to sleep.”
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say: “All praise is for you, you are the ruler of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them.”
Second: Scientific significance
The stability of the universe is based on a precise system
Modern physics reveals that the universe is not based on randomness, but on a very precise system governed by fundamental laws, constants and forces that preserve its construction and continuation. It has been shown that any slight imbalance in this system may lead to the collapse of the cosmic system or the impossibility of the emergence of life.
One of the most important manifestations of this system is what are known as the four fundamental forces.
The four fundamental forces that hold the structure of the universe
The force of gravity
Gravity is the force that keeps the celestial bodies in the universe in order, it keeps the planets in orbit around the stars, and it keeps the galaxies and the cosmic clusters together.
Although it is the weakest of the fundamental forces in terms of intensity, its influence extends across vast distances, and is therefore responsible for the grand structure of the universe.
Without the delicate balance of gravitational force, the orbits would not have stabilized, stars and planets would not have formed, and life on Earth could not continue.
b. Electromagnetic force
It is the force responsible for all electrical and magnetic phenomena, and also controls the bonding of atoms, molecules and chemical reactions.
Thanks to this force, the chemical bonds that make up water, air, organic matter and the bodies of living organisms are formed.
It is also responsible for light, electromagnetic radiation and energy transmission.
If the intensity of this force had changed little, the chemical structure of the material would have changed and life would have been impossible to form.
C. Strong Nuclear Power
It is one of the most powerful forces known in nature, and its primary function is to connect protons and neutrons within the nucleus of an atom.
Although protons carry conflicting positive charges, this enormous force preserves the cohesion of the nucleus and prevents its disintegration.
Without this force, the atoms would not have settled, and the chemical elements that make up the universe would not have existed.
D. Weak Nuclear Power
It is the force responsible for some types of radioactive decay and nuclear reactions within stars.
It plays an essential role in the processes of solar energy production and the formation of heavy elements in the universe.
It is also associated with precise processes within atoms that affect the stability of matter and the evolution of cosmic structure.
If the properties of this force were to be altered, the nuclear reactions necessary for the continuation of stars and life would be disrupted.
Physical constants and the precise control of the universe
In addition to the fundamental forces, the universe is based on a set of precise physical constants that govern natural laws.
Speed of Light:
The speed at which light travels in a vacuum is the maximum speed in the universe, at about 300,000 kilometers per second, and depends on many of the laws of modern physics.
Gravitational constant:
It is a physical constant that determines the amount of gravitational force between objects of mass, and is used to calculate the motion of planets, stars, and celestial bodies.
Planck Constant:
It is a fundamental constant in quantum physics that links particle energy and frequency, and is one of the most important foundations on which quantum mechanics is based.
Electron Mass:
It is the amount of mass of an electron, one of the fundamental constituent particles of an atom, and its mass affects the stability of atoms and physical and chemical interactions.
Electron electric charge:
It is the amount of negative charge carried by the electron, and is the basis of electrical and chemical phenomena, as it controls the bonding of atoms and the transmission of electricity.
Scientists have discovered that these constants are controlled by very precise values, so that any tiny change in some of them may lead to:
Atom collapse.
No formation of stars.
Disruption of chemical reactions.
The impossibility of life.
This is known in modern physics as “fine-tuning,” one of the most prominent contemporary cosmological issues.
Third: Scientific Miracles
1. Indication of a conserved cosmological system
God holds the heavens and the earth together.
Quranic expression is useful in the sense of constant preservation and constant control that prevents the universe from collapsing, which has been revealed by modern science of the existence of a precise system of forces and constants that maintain the stability of the universe.
2. Reference to cosmic balance sensitivity
And if they do,
The verse suggests that the disruption of this constipation leads to the disruption of the cosmic system, which is consistent with the results of modern physics, which confirms that a very small change in basic physical values may render the universe unsettled or unlivable.
The Signification of Cosmic Continuity
The Prophet Muhammad said, “God is almighty, He does not sleep, and He should not sleep.”
God’s provision and provision are constant.
This corresponds to the fact that the universe is based on the continuation of universal laws and constants regularly and permanently without disturbance.
Compatibility of the meaning of “dome” and the cosmic system
God’s name means:
Standalone.
Another resident.
Preserve to exist.
Constantly managing the affairs of the universe.
It is consistent with what modern science reveals is that the universe is based on precise interconnectedness and comprehensive stability that encompasses all levels of existence, from the atom to the galaxy.
Fourth: Conclusion
The Quranic and modern texts relating to the name of God “Al-Qayoum” reveal a profound doctrinal truth, namely that the universe is based on the preservation and continuous management of God. Modern physics has shown that the stability of the universe depends on God holding a very precise system of fundamental forces and physical constants that preserve the balance of matter, energy and the movement of celestial bodies.
The scientific miracle is the compatibility between the belief significance of the meaning of "dairy" and what modern science has revealed of the permanent need for a precise and continuous cosmic system that prevents the universe from collapse and disorder, reflecting the greatness of the Creator Almighty and the completeness of his management of all existence.
