Deceptive speciation: the myth of observing evolutionary change on a large scale - Author's Introduction
The Talkorigens (Frequently Asked Questions) section of the (Notable Cases of Speciation) page claims to have observed several instances where speciation has already been observed. This section of (Frequently Asked Questions) has been used for several years by proponents of Darwinism on the Internet claiming that it proves that Darwinian evolution is capable of producing biological change of value, but upon careful analysis of technical publications that relate to many of the examples discussed, we find that this is true.
There are no examples of large-scale biological change.
- Most examples do not show the production of new species, since (type) is defined according to the standard definition (group reproductively isolated population) and only one example shows the production of a new species of plants by hybridization and polyploidy, but this example does not entail a biological change of value.
Only one example serves to document the production of a reproductively isolated animal population, but subsequent studies have reversed its result and it is not mentioned in the repeated questions.
Thus, there is not a single valid example in the frequently asked questions about speciation that proves speciation occurs in animals; that is, the emergence of a fully reproductively isolated group of animals.
I would like to point out at the outset that I do not aim to deny the possibility of speciation in nature, especially with the definition of speciation as the mere existence of a reproductively isolated group, when trying to assess the creative capacity of the Darwinian mechanism, this definition is of little importance, but in contrast, my goal is to examine the claims of the speciation section of the frequently asked questions from the site of asset analysis, and in this regard, it is true that the repeated questions section says that (many researchers feel that there are abundant reports now).
Although most of the discussion in the Frequently Asked Questions section of his research papers is reasonably accurate, these papers are deceptive citations if one claims to be (discussing several instances where speciation has been observed) and people who believe that this FAQ section shows that Darwinian processes can cause large-scale biological change have been completely misled, and thus the examples in the frequently asked questions in Talkorigins have been used for the purpose of making imprecise claims.
