Why this book?
Some Muslims struggle desperately to convince us of the so-called Theistic Evolution, although the majority of them lack real knowledge of this fabricated method! The corollary of this is a contradiction above a contradiction in their published literature. And they have it that (God) in order to create the world used random operations in order to achieve its goals! It is not so different from Deism (which claims that God created the world and left it), and in the Arab picture we find strange palatable development and determination!
The biggest problem we are facing is the failure of our brothers in favor of this approach to realize the fact that these laws were designed to be a substitute for God and not tools in his hands, as mutations and natural selection as natural mechanisms to explain biodiversity will not make any sense if there is a prior determination and a clear path and continuous intervention in the world to implement pre-determined goals.
As David Quammen recounts in his book Darwin Reluctantly, the principle of natural selection has uprooted the idea of God’s purpose, completely eliminated any teleology in the living world, and undermined the previous belief that we humans, unlike all other forms of life, are spiritually raised and endowed with a special divine status and an immaterial and immortal essence, which enables us to have special expectations of eternity and perhaps of Islam.
The idea of natural selection was born by both Darwin and Wallace, and apart from Darwin himself, no one else understood natural selection better than Wallace. In fact, his excessive enthusiasm sometimes outweighed that of Darwin himself. Because of Wallace’s understanding of the zero relationship between natural selection and the guiding, controlling, and altruistic God, he retracted his support for his earlier idea and published in the April issue of The Quarterly Review of 1869 what he wrote, asserting that natural selection could not explain the existence of the human mind.
The proponents of Western-directed evolution are well aware of the meaning of evolution, so they did not dare to extract its content by dropping its central mechanisms, and when we look at the writings of one of the most important theorists of this idea, Francis Collins, in his book (Language of God), which was celebrated by many as evidence of faith, we find that it is nothing more than a repeated display of modern Darwinism mixed with the "personal writer's assumption" that God used evolution as a method of creation. But even this recognition of ignorance is only a temporary conviction that has been left on page 200 of his book: “While the exact mechanism of the origin of life on earth remains unknown, once life has arisen, the processes of evolution and natural selection have allowed the development of biodiversity and biological complexity over very long periods of time, and once evolution has occurred we no longer need to go beyond the natural powers of nature, we have no idea of any natural mechanism of the origin of God’s language.”
In conclusion, the idea of a God guided by Darwinian evolution cannot be reconciled with his own idealism and perfection, making his existence an extraneous imposition on interpretation, and in the most prosaic explanation it can be described as a God who deliberately conceals his existence and does not reveal himself to his creation.
Do God’s people have the same purpose?
