When an atheist reduces himself to matter.

If, as an atheist, you haven’t realized the consequences of refusing to believe in a Creator yet, look at the way you look at the animals around you, and realize that the view of the most advanced beings 100 or 200,000 years from now, will be the same as the current one of these animals. There is no more contempt that a man can do for himself than to reduce himself to matter! If you are a human being, you are a human being. A fleeting by-product of physical interactions! Since you, O man, are only material, your values are "moral" and they are. A fleeting by-product of physical interactions! If you are a human being, then you are a human being. A fleeting by-product of physical interactions! This was terrifying for Darwin personally! Do you understand that? Rejecting the idea that man is created by an omnipotent and omniscient God, you necessarily conclude that there is no metaphysical or metaphysical value to the human self, no guarantee of absolute moral values, and no guarantee of true mental judgments! Matter, with all the possible downfalls and in the best of hypotheses, gives only fleeting and ever-changing incidental results.
