“A healing for what is in the hearts.” [Yunus: 57] “This Quran heals hearts of desires that prevent obedience to revelation and doubts that undermine certain knowledge. Its admonitions, encouragements, warnings, promises and threats produce hope and fear. As desire for good and fear of evil grow through repeated reflection on its meanings, God's will takes precedence over personal desire, and what pleases God becomes dearer than one's own cravings. Likewise, its proofs and arguments, which God presents in varied and lucid ways, remove doubts that undermine truth and bring the heart to the highest degrees of certainty.”
