“‘Or do they say’—those who stubbornly reject it—‘He fabricated it’? They claim Muhammad invented it and attributed it to God. ‘Say’ to them, challenging them to do something that would establish their claim if they could: ‘Produce a surah like it’, with others helping them. This is impossible; had it been possible, they would have demonstrated their ability and produced its like. Their failure showed their claim to be false and unsupported. They rejected the Quran, which contains the highest truth, because they did not fully comprehend it. Had they understood it properly, they would have acknowledged its truth.”
