Ethics: Between Celestial Religions and Western Philosophy - Publisher's Introduction
Why this book?!
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition, y’all.
There is no doubt that modern atheism is a frightening phenomenon, which needs to be first of all a large knowledge plan to face it, and the most important topics in this plan is the subject of ethics by its branches, and this research has occupied philosophers and thinkers throughout the ages, but can be considered the bulk of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries was dedicated to the verification of moral value, and of course the knowledge value of man is reflected in the behavior of the self and the world, especially that man is a moral being, of course.
The child acquires very subjective impressions of the world cognitively and morally, before he follows the rules contained in the language and behavior of his society, until this impression merges with the rules / ethics of his society driven by this readiness.[2] Society itself needs a custom or ethics, religion or philosophy on the basis of which the law moves.
Therefore, morality is an urgent need for man, making him reconcile his needs and the needs of the community, and even make him risk himself for the good above the present good, so ethics itself must need a permanent source of emotion, he chooses between a religion, as did the masses of the sons of Adam, or a philosophy developed by a man and then destroyed by others, or evolution is inevitable, despite the fact that the belief in the Last Day and the transcendence of ethics is deeper and more consistent, cognitively and psychologically assured.
In this age, biologists and neuroscientists have challenged philosophers and theologians in their conception of morality, and this has brought long questions and dialogues about major human problems, such as freedom of will, the meaning of evil, and so on. Biology destroys any moral sense, and anyone who believes in evolution has a very big problem with any moral point in his conscience, two things between a religion that says that the interest in weakness and charity is a cause for them.
Modern atheism recognized this moral predicament, and Dawkins acknowledged the great difficulty of establishing values on a non-religious ground,[5] which is apparently unproven; natural science plays in a very different field from conscience, consciousness, and meaning.
Nevertheless, the intellectual arena is witnessing fierce attempts by some neuroscientists and cognitive scientists to reduce ethics and complex abstract knowledge in the brain, and talk about ethics as only a neurobehavioral response such as hunger and thirst, which is almost empty Arab door, despite the many discussions and research in this section.
For all this, it was necessary to open the door of research and authorship in the file of ethics widely, and it was also necessary at the beginning of the theoretical entrance to the meaning of ethics in religion and its source, and secure religion in comparison with philosophy, as a preliminary part to address this huge branch from different angles, and the researcher has succeeded in providing that article that we ask God to benefit readers, and to succeed and benefit us and benefit us.
