Apart from the molecules that make up the gene expression system and the cellular machine, there are no sequences or structures that show this specific complexity or specific information anywhere in the natural world [the non-human world], where sequences and structures that show excess order, or just complexity, are common in the chemistry of nature, but no structures are known to show specific complexity other than DNA, RNA, and proteins.
But human manufactures and technology show specific complexity [drawings, signs, written texts, spoken language, ancient hieroglyphics, embedded circuits, machine codes, computer hardware and software], and among all these examples, computer programs and their code sequences of digital characters are like DNA-base sequences in their work.
Curiously, computer scientists began to develop machine language just as molecular biologists began to discover that living cells use something similar to machine code or computer software, and we quote information scientist Hubert Yockey again: "Genetic code is built to meet communication and recording problems and solve them with the same principles that exist... in contemporary communication and computer code," and like computer programs, coded regions of DNA are created by processes within a highly complex physical system and by sequences of chemical variables.
