“Consider the great wisdom in giving livestock hearing and sight, enabling them to secure their needs and humans to benefit from them. Were they blind or deaf, humans could not benefit fully from them. Yet, despite their size, they lack human reason, making them manageable and allowing people to lead them where they wish. Had they been given human reason with their great size, they would have refused obedience and resisted being harnessed. They received the discernment and perception needed for their own welfare and that of those they serve, but not the intellect distinguishing humans, thereby showing the distinction and favor bestowed upon humanity.”
