War on Man - Publisher's Introduction
Why this book?!
In her latest film Avengers: Infinity War,[1] Marvel shocked everyone by allowing the main villain of her extended film world, Thanos, to realize his Malthusian idea of wiping out 50% of the population (the inhabitants of Earth, the rest of the planets and galaxies), including her superheroes, whom she spent years marketing to the public.
Of course, this book does not discuss the war on man in cinema or in any fantasy worlds, but the strangest thing is that reality may be much stranger than fiction. The principle of Thanos in the film is ancient Malthusianism; lack of resources versus large populations. The solution he offers within the fictional cinematic framework is the just and unbiased extermination of half the population, so that the rest of them continue to live, and to live a better life.
Yes, what I read is true, and yes, their slogan which causes them no kind of embarrassment: "To save the planet, kill yourself!".
Of course, Darwin’s answer, explains Peter Singer (Bioethics professor at Princeton University): “All we do is try to catch up with Darwin. Since the 19th century, he has shown us that we are just animals... humans have imagined that we are separate from the rest of the creatures, and that there is a magical separation between us and them. But Darwin’s theory has undermined the foundations of that Western thinking about the place of human beings in the universe.”[2]
The idea went this way, animal rights movements sprang up, and when we talk about the animal's right to life, we're talking about a complete cessation of any human food based on an animal source, and of any therapeutic experiments based on animal experimentation.
Of course not, because plants also have dignity.
You are not allowed to use animals or plants, and of course you are not allowed to use fuel because global warming is an indisputable issue, and natural resources are not allowed to be exploited, because nature in all its value is equal to man.
This is not a joke, this is a constitutional law in a European country like Switzerland that criminalizes insulting plants, because plants have dignity, and this is another law that gives nature similar rights to humans in the state of Santa Monica, and the list is expanding over time, you can imagine the amount of disaster we are talking about. We are not talking about intellectual scrappings of some philosophers, we are not talking about small rights groups, we are talking about efforts that have already succeeded in legislating laws, and about bills that are discussed at the United Nations and intergovernmental summits.
Thus, we set out with Darwin and demolished the idea of the exceptionality of man, and we went through the rights of animals, then plants, then all the components of nature, and then the Earth. If the continuation of the human species (one species out of millions of species) is compared with the continuation of the planet Earth, then it is natural that the planet should be tilted.
Although this book focuses on the claims of anti-humanism from the radical environmental current, it gives us a window into a realistic practical conception of human life under atheism. He who moves within an intellectual framework in which there is no God, no intrinsic value for man, no moral authority, no life.
Although the author of this book is agnostic, in the sense that he has not yet decided his position on the existence of God, but he agrees with the religious perspective completely on the issue of the distinctiveness of the human species and the exception of man. The same is true of Humanism or Humanism, a philosophy that emphasizes the exception of man, despite being secular or atheistic. Perhaps the reader will excuse the incompleteness of the presentation, because the question of the foundation of value and morality outside the religious framework is too great to be familiar with in such a few lines.
Social atheistic models have produced the worst regimes of all, and if we want the models of Hitler and Stalin not to be repeated again, everyone should pay attention to the radical environmental movement, the introductions do not bode well, and the madness adopted by this movement and its activists foretells disasters that may fall in front of its Nazi greatness, Chinese Maoism and Soviet Stalinism.
The film has grossed over $2 billion and continues to be released.
