This is where atheism begins. ! It is an obvious fact that everything in this world has a starting point, and in order to achieve a deep understanding of any human problem we have to know its roots, specifically when it was formed and began? During my follow-up to this thorny file in the previous period, it was interesting to me that there are people who have talked about the beginnings of their skepticism of the teachings of religion, so I tried to limit these things; because of the importance of attention to them in the study of the first components of atheism in contemporary Islamic societies. The study of these perspectives also contributes to our priorities when discussing the problem of contemporary atheism in our societies, and not to be dragged behind the theses of the new atheism in the West, where it is remarkable that the beginnings of religious skepticism in our Islamic societies do not have to be similar to Western conditions. Therefore, we will find that many of the blessed contributions clearly focus on two issues: First, to prove the existence of God with various evidences based on contemporary naturalists and cosmologists. Second: To refute Darwin's theory of evolution. There is no doubt that these two issues are very important, but it has appeared to me through personal experience in the dialogues with some young men and women that the question of the existence of God is not the biggest issue in their skepticism, and even Darwin's theory they find it is not an undisputable scientific imperative, and so they found a departure from what many of the virtues in the discussion of the new atheism in our societies, and see it does not meet their needs. Hence, I revisited the roots of the stories of skeptical youth, and came up with a preliminary map that can be modified and developed around the starting point of skepticism about religion, and briefly found the following: First: The issue of not answering the prayer, was the starting point in doubting the texts of the divine revelation for many people, and I have read and heard this matter many times, we will start with the text of Abbas Abdel Nour and assume that he is sincere in his claim - because we do not have solid evidence to question the origin of the story - although talking about himself in the introduction to his book there is nothing to prove it realistically and practically, which casts doubt - and the name of Abbas Abdel Nourant is borrowed in the lack of this name. This is not surprising for a person like him who poses a sharp atheistic proposition that is challenged in the Qur’an eloquence and content in a conservative Muslim society, all this if we exclude the possibility that the author is not a Muslim at all, which I do not like, he says in “My ordeal with the Qur’an” p. 26-30: “I have been in crises and hardships, and I have been joined by debts and worries and clouds that do not get out of them, I have closed the world in my face, and all the horizons were closed before me, so I left no door but to knock it, and there is no way but I took it ... Then when I felt helpless and fell completely my choice, I remembered saying: The one who has to answer when he calls’. And so I have emptied all my burdens of prayers, supplications and distress.. My God, listen to me from the heart of hunger, from the heart of need, from the heart of deprivation, from the heart of suffering I call you, I have accumulated my debts and have become very large. My God, I have saved you for these black hours, how do I spend these debts? Should I sell my house which is all I have? Where can I live then? I waited and then waited for God to come in the vagina, but in vain, and began to wake up doubts in myself after it was quiet suppressed ... and I did not even give myself a hurricane, and collapsed within the reach of the hurricane all that was in myself standing steady, and I remained for a period of suffering from the most complex crises of thought and the most severe ..." In another documented case written by journalist Nasser bin Hussein in Al-Hayat newspaper on Friday 11/4/2014 under the title "Return from Atheism" he said: “The young man mentioned that his move from his hometown in the south of the Kingdom to the Eastern Province to complete his studies in health was the beginning of a setback,” he said, “When I started studying, I always asked God to succeed, and I failed in three subjects, which made me go further in comparing my life with the lives of many others, who have no interest in prayer, fasting and other religious matters, although they live a stable life.” As for the widening circle of doubts, he said that it began in the summer vacation in 1430 AH, "I was in a period of need of God a lot, but I did not agree," explaining that he was not telling what he felt to anyone, adding: "I began to analyze the general provisions and the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, which led me to feel a contradiction about the evidence and controversial issues after trying to link them a lot," pointing out that he was not sure of his actual atheism, but he did not know what he was a certain. It is noteworthy that the contemporary writings that address this understanding of the crooked concept of prayer are few, and we suffer from the scarcity of easy writings that explain the extent of the link between prayer and the inevitability of taking into account the universal sunnah of God in which this universe, so no one, no matter how much worship, piety and interruption of the act of obedience, asks God to pray that the way of seeking God, For example, he did not plant, but considered this aggression in prayer. Lazy without perseverance or hard work to pay harm and evil. Also that confused student, who did not find in his study and did not address the problem of alienation and change of lifestyle on him, led to his disregard for these laws of life to his failure in materials, and began to ask God urgently in his prayers as a wisher of God Almighty, without taking into account the Sunnah of God in success. One of the greatest methodological intellectual calamities such as these thought that the Qur’an does not have to take it all as one sentence that explains each other, and so they fall into a large methodological slide that they isolate his verses and understand them after that arbitrary fragmentation according to their wishes and immediate needs. In the midst of discussion with one of them I asked him once did you find in the verses of the Qur’an stated assets on how to properly understand the meanings of the Qur’an? He answered me that he did not think about this question, and that he understands the verses according to what appears to him, and without any systematic effort, and this confirms that the issue (methodology of understanding the Quran through the Quran itself) is completely absent from their understanding, and must be considered in the writings dealing with this problem, which is almost the source of many problems of religious skepticism among young people. This is in addition to the existence of a problem of another kind is that the slave in such situations wants to "test" his creator and test him not the other way around, as Abbas Abdel Nour explicitly stated in his book p. 26, and this reverse understanding indicates a deep-rooted arrogance because the person here was offering obedience to God and worships wishing God so, how to respond to such? In the next article, we will continue to talk about a different kind of beginnings of skepticism that are due to the contradiction of the actions of some advocates to God with the teachings of religion, and we will mention a true story of Professor Maram. - Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Mansour Al-Drees — Source: Brahin Center website - Published on 2019-12-31 (archived at the Internet Archive) http://www.braheen.com:80/mag/2nd/47-how-atheism-begin
